We've just deployed v1.2 of the StarChild AI Story Engine — the system that generates the story pages and matching illustrations for our personalized children's storybooks.
This update is simple: parents have been using StarChild during beta, sharing feedback, and we're shipping improvements quickly. We're building this product in the real world, not in a vacuum.
What's improved in v1.2

1) Better narrative continuity (stronger "page-to-page" flow)
We refined the engine to produce a more coherent reading experience across spreads — better pacing, smoother transitions, and fewer moments where a scene feels like it "jumps" without context.
In short: the story now reads more like a single journey, not separate fragments.
2) Better character consistency in illustrations
One of the most common beta priorities is keeping the hero recognizable throughout the book. In v1.2 we improved character continuity across illustrations, so visual details stay more stable from page to page.
This is especially important for younger kids, who notice these details immediately.
3) Cleaner, more print-ready images
We also focused on print output quality:
- Fewer visual artifacts
- Cleaner composition
- More reliable illustrations for printing and gifting
If you're ordering a physical copy (or printing yourself), v1.2 is a meaningful step forward.
Built with real families
Beta has been active, and we're grateful for every parent who creates a book and shares feedback. It's the fastest way to make StarChild better — and v1.2 is a direct result of that loop.
If you want to try it, StarChild beta is live and creating custom bedtime stories and personalized kids books you can read digitally or order in print.
